Backsafe Demonstrations of Manual Handling

Trusted By

We’ve helped thousands of clients over the last 35 years and here’s a few you may recognise

How the course is delivered

The Backsafe Train the Trainer Program combines self-paced learning with live expert-led coaching sessions to apply the Backsafe principles to a range of tasks and scenarios relevant to your own workplace.

Delivery can be online or onsite, depending on your organisation’s size and risk profile:

  • Online delivery is ideal for organisations training fewer than six staff
  • Onsite delivery is recommended for organisations training six or more staff, or those operating in higher-risk environments

How we assess competency

Core knowledge and practical competency are assessed through a combination of learning, workplace application and demonstration of training capability. Each participant is required to

  • complete online learning
  • attend two live online training workshops
  • submit a series of workplace tasks.
  • deliver an in-house manual handling training session

This approach ensures participants don’t just understand the content – they can apply it, assess it, and confidently teach it in their own workplace.

The Backsafe manual handling and patient moving training is outstanding, very engaging and tailored to your needs. Peter and Jane are wonderful trainers, full of knowledge and personality and get you involved. I have used Backsafe training previously as a safety manager in a large not for profit organisation, feedback and results were amazing. So much so I now completed the ‘Train the Trainer’ course so I can deliver this as I really believe in it that much. Great training, great people and great results!

Great training for our team. It was very informative and really well received. The team are still talking about it days later and reminding each other the correct way to pick up items. Peter and Jane were so easy to work with and very accommodating with date changes that we had to make.
